Teens say they like vinyl records over CDs

Related to the never-ending debate over the quality of music on vinyl vs. compact disc, research done by a Canadian scientist reports that "teens who used to view CDs as superior to older vinyl records now consider vinyl superior to the newer format." Library of Congress to use image tool for sound restoration

Federal Computer Week has a report about the Library of Congress and their use of the sound restoration system called IRENE, designed by scientists at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory “to help preservationists restore at-risk recordings and improve audio quality.”
